Lead in the Bones of Cows from a Medieval Pb-Ag Metallurgical Settlement: Bone Mineralization by Metalliferous Minerals

Pb contents (13-53 mg kg−1) and pathological changes in almost complete cow skeletonsdiscovered in graves adjacent to Pb and Ag smelting furnaces active in the Silesian-Cracovian region, in the mid-12th century are reported in the article. In addition to Pb,elements such as Zn, Cd, Fe, Mn, Cd, and Ba characteristic of Zn-Pb-Ag ores in the regionwere identified. Bone fragments and the soil in which they had lain for almost 800 yearswere examined by SEM, EDS. XRD was used to identify minerals present in soils. This article is not primarily focused on presenting arguments and views held by Polish political groups with reference to the territorial shape of the Polish state after the First World War. The fi nal decade of the 20 th century was the turning-point for the development of Polish contemporary dance. In 1991 Jacek Łuminski established the Silesian Dance Theatre in Bytom. The theatre is said to be in the avant-garde of all activities related to contemporary dance development in Poland. It was J. Researchers in social memory are bound in their work to include the relations occurring between the memory of local communities and the official historical policy of the State. Eastern part of Poland is unevenly examined according to distribution of terrestrial true-bugs. Among well studied zoogeographical regions (Wyżyna Lubelska, Beskid Wschodni, Roztocze), true-bugs fauna of others like Podlasie and Nizina Sandomierska is poorly documented. The paper presents new faunistic data on the occurrence of true-bugs Heteroptera in Eastern Poland. Localities were scattered in 17 UTM squares in five zoogeographical regions: Podlasie, Puszcza Białowieska, Wyżyna Lubelska, Nizina Sandomierska and Roztocze. Lindernia mułowa Lindernia procumbens (Krocker) Philcox jest rośliną roczną, pojawiającą się w lipcu, kwitnie i owocuje w sierpniu, kończy rozwój późną jesienią wraz z pierwszymi przymrozkami. W Polsce występuje ona bardzo rzadko na rozproszonych stanowiskach, skupionych głównie w dorzeczu górnej i środkowej Odry oraz w dorzeczu górnej Wisły, w miejscach wilgotnych, mulistych lub piaszczystych, na brzegach obu rzek i ich starorzeczy, a także na dnie wysychających stawów hodowlanych, w zbiorowiskach namułkowych z klasy Isoëto-Nanojuncetea. Utricularietum neglectae Th. Müller et Görs 1960 w Słowińskim Parku Narodowym

Na terenie Słowińskiego Parku Narodowego nowe stanowisko Utricularietum neglectae stwierdzono podczas badań geobotanicznych w 2014 r. w dystroficznym zbiorniku wodnym torfianka Wielkie Bagno, na wschód od miejscowości Gać (54°69’19,67’’ N, 17°50’96,11’’ E). Zbiorowisko to zostało po raz pierwszy stwierdzone w Badeni-Württembergi w Niemczech w bagnistych dołach i miejscach po wydobytym torfie. W Polsce należy do bardzo rzadko notowanych zbiorowisk. W Słowińskim Parku Narodowym płaty tego zespołu wykształciły się w miejscach zacisznych i osłoniętych od wiatru, w wodzie o głębokości 20 – 130 cm, o pH 6,5 – 6,7 na podłożu mulistym lub z dużą ilością torfu.
